Taking care of your Punches and Decorative Scissors.....

Here is something that I learned before but just recently tried it…. If your decorative scissors or punches become dull and need to be sharpened, you can easily cut or punch aluminum foil and that will sharpen them. If your punches get a little sticky, just punch some wax paper. That will help them to punch easier. Hope this information is of use to you….Hang in there for the next tutorial coming soon….

Diagonal Double Pocket Card Instructions

Supplies: one 8 ½ x 11 piece of patterned paper
Paper Scoring tool (bone folder and cutter works great)
Scissors
Adhesive
Ruler
Additional cardstock, stamps and embellishments to decorate card front and make inserts.
Directions:
Step 1: Score the long side of the patterned paper at the 4 ¼” and fold in half. (The 11” side)
Step 2: Turn paper 90 degrees, score short side at 5 ½ " and fold in half. (The 8 1/2” side)
Step 3: Unfold paper. Cut the horizontal fold from the left edge of the paper to the vertical score line.
Step 4: Fold the bottom right corner so the bottom edge meets the edge of the center score.
Step 5: Fold down the top left corner. Leave 1”-1 ½” room from the edge of the folded down corner to the vertical fold.
Step 6: Fold the top left rectangle over to the right hand side.
Step 7: Fold the left bottom rectangle under the folded rectangle on the right bottom.
Step 8: Fold the bottom corner up over the other folded up corner.
Step 9: Add adhesive on the sides of the bottom half and fold it up.
Step 10: Decorate card front and create inserts for the pockets.
NOTE: Here the tags measure 2 ½” x 5” and 1 ¾” x 5”.
Variations: After step six, instead of folding the right side under, fold both lower flaps up.
Fold the left quadrant back. Use adhesive to attach loose ends. Now your card will be able to fold open.
